SUGGESTIONS FOR DRINKING ESSIAC TEA

Based upon Rene Caisse's advice and traditional as well as modern use of Essiac tea it has been suggested that one pour 1 to 2 fl. oz. of the concentrated Essiac tea (1/8 to 1/4 cup) into a mug and add hot water, once or twice daily.  Do not microwave the tea.  Drink Essiac tea on an empty stomach.  Some people prefer to drink the tea cold.

Although Essiac is commonly known for its history in treating cancer and helping diabetics, it is also known as a healing tea to maintain general health as well as a preventive against cancer.

Take the time to sip your Essiac tea slowly; don’t gulp it down.  According to THE ESSIAC BOOK, Essiac tea is more effective if one holds the tea longer in the mouth--the longer, the better.  This is sometimes referred to as the sublingual method.  "Sublingual" means "under the tongue".  The capillaries under the tongue can absorb the medicinal qualities of sheep sorrel directly into the bloodstream.

Rene Caisse used to inject sheep sorrel solution with a syringe on some of her terminal cancer patients, thereby delivering sheep sorrel to the site of tumors.  Injecting sheep sorrel is no longer allowed by mainstream medicine and it is not advisable that people undertake this painful procedure on their own.

However, the sublingual method of swishing the tea in the mouth and under the tongue bypasses the digestive process to a certain extent and can deliver some sheep sorrel into the bloodstream, thus making the tea more effective.  Therefore, injecting sheep sorrel is no longer necessary or advisable.

Essiac Circle of Friends

Essiac NorthWest, Humbleweed and many others have all contributed to the Essiac Circle of Friends, a natural society of  like-minded people continuing traditional native herbal healing in the spirit of the Seven Fires Prophecy.  The Essiac Circle of Friends is a cooperative effort to provide the highest quality Essiac tea herbs on the planet.  It is not in itself a corporation or business but some of the people involved have started their own retail outlets to provide these high-quality herbs to the public.   We are the people who plant, grow, harvest and supply these high-quality herbs to those in need.  The Circle has evolved over the past decade with various people contributing to it and then moving on in the ever-changing ebb and flow of life.
